What's happened at the village? Where has everyone gone? Take your time to explore, as all is not what it seems... Keep your EyE on The Scarecrow...
We have packaged the new updated version of the project that fully supports UE 5.3.
Complete with video settings and navigation in game menu so all PC platforms should be able to play it. Once DSLSS 3 is out for 5.3, we will update the project.
Press 'P' in game to access settings menu.
Press 'N' in game to toggle Nvidia menu.
We have removed some blocking volumes so you can explore a little more as behind the scenes is just as interesting. These are random and one will need to find them. Also the ability to look around the village more completely has been enabled.

One request can you prepare a demos on the some of the latest works of the MAWI United guy. Before he used to provide free demos, but now he is not which is sad 🥲. And can you do a demo on this CliffLands 3 (DESERT SON) in Environments - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)
Ithris Cemetery in Environments - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)
Library in Environments - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com) Thank You
What a wonderful experience , loved the single bit of it. Would love to see you continuing to work on this project for further storyline (maybe) ) The game ran really well, enjoyed the 59fps on RTX 4070 :D
Yes for a demo out the box it is great and can inspire to delve deeper for sure. Time permitting, one would love to take it a little further. For now, Id like all bugs fixed :)
Sure buddy! Take your time, I will be glad to play it when it becomes a full release <3
On my Windows 10 with DirextX and latest drivers installed i got message when i try to run this game: DirectX12 is not supported on your system. Try running without -dx12 or -d3d12 command line arguments.
Although the shortcut to the exe file does not contain any keys. Well I added -dx11 hoping it would launch, but got the message: Unable to launch with RHI "DirectX 11" since the project is not configured to support it".
I just wanted to check how UE 5.3 games will run on my old hardware. I have a Radeon R9 280x and an Athlon x4 860k.
Tried to install DirextX12 offline installer. But it didn't help, still the same error.
DX12 is key for all UE5 features to work correctly and I think it will struggle on anything but next gen GPUs. Without it, Im not sure it will work by design at all.
But this is why we have packaged the project with the video settings menu, so one can push even a potato if they wanted too. Im interested to see how it fairs on older tech. How old is no good? I think if the GPU is not DX12 compatible, then its really a ''best of luck'' situation.
My R9 280x is compatible with DX12 https://linustechtips.com/topic/346646-will-the-r9-280-support-dx12/
Also i can play recent games like Dying Light 2 in DX12 mode as well (but with performance issues). For example i can run fine Unreal Racing here https://kronbits.itch.io/unreal-racing
So can you not get it to start at all?
really good experience. tough on my pc but on medium settings it ran well and still looked great. I really enjoyed seeing such vibrant nature and weather, really sucked me in to the environment!
